The process involves storing in a database, sensor data and information associated with a structure or its materials. A deterministic simulation model of the structure is generated by assembling deterministic models of model source libraries. An ageing pattern is generated by combining the deterministic simulation model and a generated probabilistic model. The parameters of the pattern are updated. An independent claim is also included for system to determine the parameters of an ageing model of a structure.
