The machine has a detection block (2) and a certification block (3) for identifying coins moving under gravity force. A storing device (14) has four housings to receive the coins introduced in the machine. Each housing has a retractable coin retainer to open bottom of the housing for selectively extracting the coins. A switching device (18) guides the coins leaving the housing towards a coin storage (21) or a return tray (8).
