The method involves generating a signal upon detecting transition of a mobile terminal into geographical areas related to a local network. Information relating to a transition of the mobile terminal into specified geographical area is recorded in a historic database (15) upon reception of the generated signal. A signal is generated in relation to the database and sent to a signaling unit that is associated with the terminal. An independent claim is also included for a device to implement a method of controlling a mobile terminal.
