The method involves inserting a null energy component in data units and positioning the energy components at locations in time and frequency space. The energy components are positioned corresponding to locations of reference components of a multi-carrier signal. The multi-carrier signal is transmitted by a source of a network and presents same structure as another multi-carrier signal. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a multi-carrier signal formed of a temporal succession of symbols organized in successive frames (b) a method for receiving a main signal constructed according to construction method (c) a receiver for receiving a multi-carrier signal (d) a device for transmitting the multi-carrier signal constructed according to construction method.
