PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a period of construction, when a school yard, a structure, etc., is brought out by lawn, or is planted with grass, and to create an environment suitable for growth of ground cover grass, such as the lawn. PSOLUTION: A ground cover grass unit 11 is composed of a grass planting unit 13 and a support base 14 for supporting the grass planting unit 13, wherein the support base 14 is composed of a three-dimensionally shaped block 2 which is formed out of linear materials 1 of mortar or concrete blended with a vegetable fiber by partially adhering the linear materials 1 to one another and forming spaces between the linear materials 1, and the grass planting unit 13 is formed by charging an upper area of the support base 14 or the formed spaces between the linear materials 1 with a soil substance 8, so that the ground cover unit 11 is structured.
