PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrophobic organic compound trapping material which can catch a hydrophobic organic compound in an aqueous solution by a hydrophobic interaction by a simple operation and can reduce the concentration of the hydrophobic organic compound in the aqueous solution, and which is recyclable and excellent in repetitive usability, and which can remarkably increase treatment efficiency in pretreatment including the collection of the hydrophobic organic compound and analysis, and analysis or the like, and, furthermore, which can be used as a stationary phase that the trapping material fills a column, or carried by a filter such as a porous membrane or a porous substance and is excellent in usability.;SOLUTION: The catching material comprises a hydrophilic compound the end of which a hydrophobic macromolecular chain is combined with, and hydrophilic unsaturated monomers which form a crosslinked polymer by crosslinking with the hydrophilic compound.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
