PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic nonlinear optical material having a large two photon absorption sectional area and easily causing two photon absorption and to provide a triaryl boron compound suitable for the same.;SOLUTION: The organic nonlinear optical material contains the boron compound represented by general formula (I) (wherein, Ar¹ to Ar⁶ each represents a bivalent aromatic ring group which may independently have a substituent, X¹ to X³ each represents a bond to which a bivalent conjugated system is independently connected and R¹ to R⁶ each independently represents an optional substituent except a hydrogen atom) as at least a portion of its constituent.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
