PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relief support system for persons to be relieved, which automatically informs a relief supporter that a person to be relieved, who is at home, is in a bad physical condition.;SOLUTION: A life support system A for handicapped persons living alone is provided with; an ultrasonic sensor 1 which sends an activity sense signal 11 in response to sensing a movement of a handicapped person living alone, who is at home; a microcomputer 2 which accumulates the frequency in sending of the activity sense signal 11 and determines abnormality in the case that the accumulated value is not larger than a threshold at the end of a prescribed time; and a communication means 5 which informs the relief supporter.
