PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal material for a lead acid storage battery separator in which high adhesion strength is obtained, the supply of an electrolyte from the electrode plate side-end face side is not obstructed, and good sealing can be made without rupturing by the expansion and contraction of the electrode plate, and to provide a bag-shape separator for a lead acid storage battery using the seal material, and the lead acid storage battery. PSOLUTION: The seal material for the lead acid storage battery separator is formed by processing a lead acid storage battery separator composed of an nonwoven fabric-like sheet made mainly of an inorganic material primarily composed of a glass fiber, in a bag shape. The seal material is a paste-like object in which a material composed of an inorganic material 95-10 mass % made of a particle-like substance and a fiber as required and a synthetic resin material 5-90 mass % made of a particle-like substance and a fiber as required is kneaded together with a dispersion medium.
