PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eddy magnetic field distribution estimating method for estimating an eddy magnetic field generated by an inclined magnetic field generated like a pulse with high accuracy. PSOLUTION: A predetermined atomic nuclear in a predetermined fault of a subject is excited by an inclined magnetic field of positive polarity and exciting high frequency related to the x-axis direction, and during the period when a signal generated by the above excitation exists as transverse magnetization, a magnetic resonance signal is applied by y-axis inclined magnetic field to generate a modulated SE signal and collect the same. The signal collection is repeatedly performed with the fault position switched symmetrically about the origin to the x-axis position, with the polarity of the x-axis inclined magnetic field and with the phase encoding amount due to the y-axis inclined magnetic field switched. The spatial distribution of the eddy magnetic field in the static magnetic field space is estimated using a signal value in each position of the section of the fault obtained by Fourier-transforming the measured magnetic resonance signal.
