PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the effect of appealing to customers by controlling the light emission state of a merchandise display shelf where merchandise is displayed.;SOLUTION: The merchandise display light emission system 10 comprises the plurality of merchandise display shelves (a)-c respectively provided on merchandise display stands A-C, a plurality of light emission sources 21-23 respectively provided on the plurality of merchandise display shelves (a)-c, a storage part for storing the merchandise displayed on the merchandise display shelves associated with the merchandise display shelves, and a control part for changing the light emission state of the light emission source provided on the merchandise display shelf where desired merchandise is displayed referring to the storage part.
