PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat resistant magnesium alloy for casting excellent in heat resistance and castability.;SOLUTION: The heat resistant magnesium alloy for casting contains, by mass, 0.2 to 3% Ca, 1 to 4% rare earth elements (R.E.) and 1% Zn, and the balance Mg with inevitable impurities, and is excellent in castability and heat resistance.
