METHOD FOR HEATING BLOOM FOR PREVENTING OCCURRENCE OF ROLLED FLAW BY UNIFORMING SCALE-OFF QUANTITY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing the occurrence of rolled flaw in a blooming by uniformizing scale-off quantity of the bloom, in a walking beam type heating furnace for heating prior to the blooming.;SOLUTION: In the method for heating the bloom 6, when the bloom is charged into the walking bloom type heating furnace, a pitch 7 between the blooms 6 is widened to 100-160 mm by charging the bloom in order while making the narrow width surface being the thickness 2 of the bloom the undersurface, and thus the heat convection and the heat radiation between the blooms 6 are made good. Further, in the above heating, the scale-off quantity is uniformized by heating while adjusting the flowing rate of combustion gas into 1,750-2,050 Nm³/h and the ratio of air/fuel into 10% to 13% and the occurrence of the rolled flaw is prevented.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
