CONTINUOUS CAST BLOOM TRATMENT METHOD FOR OBTAINING ROLLED STEEL CAPABLE OF PREVENTING OCCURRENCE OF SURFACE FLAW IN BLOOMING MILL PROCESS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling method using a bloom cooler whick can prevent occurrence of cracks in a blooming mill process by eliminating a defective cooling place in the bloom cooler thereby sufficiently controlling bainitic structure of a continuously cast bloom, and to provide a heating method in a heating furnace thereafter.;SOLUTION: The bloom drawn in a continuous casting is arranged to be inclined to a horizontal plane in a bloom cooler, and is cooled from its side face based on the cooling starting temperature and cooling rate predetermined by the time from the start of the continuous casting to the reach to the bloom cooler, and then the bloom is heated in the heating furnace so that the temperature difference between the surface temperature and the center temperature of the bloom becomes within a fixed range.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
