PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constant-length take-up device and take-up package that automatically stop unwinding every predetermined thread length, automatically replace the package with a new thread feeding package, and allow continuous winding, when a plurality of packages having no tail thread are continuously rewound to wind many take-up packages with small diameter having small thread amount.;SOLUTION: In the constant-length take-up device, a sensor with a needle for detecting the unwinding of the threads is mounted to a predetermined position of a thread winding layer of the thread feeding package to be unwound. A controller for controlling the measured length of a thread measured length reserving device based on a detection signal from the sensor is disposed, and a predetermined thread length is unwound. Then, the unwinding operation from the thread feeding package is stopped, the thread is pieced to the next new thread feeding package, and the unwinding and take-up can be restarted.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
