PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quantitatively evaluate merit when a flue gas treatment device using an active carbon fiber is applied.;SOLUTION: The evaluation method for the flue gas treatment device comprises the steps of grasping a current exhaust gas state, the state of the existing instrument, i.e., the current flue gas treatment device and an instrument cost and an operation cost when a catalyst of the active carbon fiber layer is installed on a treatment tower of the current flue gas treatment device to constitute an active carbon treatment device, evaluating the operation cost of the active carbon treatment device based on the current flue gas state and making a comparison with the operation cost of the existing instrument. Merit when the flue gas treatment device using the active carbon fiber is applied is quantitatively evaluated by evaluating the state of the total cost including the operation cost.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
