PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accomplish full-automatic takeoff and/or full-automatic landing of an airplane without using any complicated on-board apparatus or control logic.;SOLUTION: The automatic takeoff and landing devices of an airplane are equipped with sensors 2-6 to sense the terrain clearance of the airplane, air speed, attitude angle, flying azimuth, and the position, a means to enter a takeoff/landing command, and a control device 12 to control a propulsive device and/or maneuvering device 8-10 of the airplane 1 on the basis of the information concerning the airplane 1 and the takeoff/landing command. The control device 12 makes a transfer from the takeoff run control to the nose-up control when the air speed of the airplane 1 has exceeded the specified takeoff judging speed, and transfers from the nose-up control to the crime control when the terrain clearance of the airplane 1 has exceeded the specified takeoff judging altitude. Also the control device 12 makes a transfer from the approach control to the pull-out control when the terrain clearance of the airplane 1 has become below the specified landing judging altitude and transfers from the pull-out control to the landing roll control when the air speed of the airplane 1 has become below the specified landing judging speed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
