PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a poly(ethylene-2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylate) film having improved modulus of elasticity both in the longitudinal and the transverse directions.;SOLUTION: This poly(ethylene-2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylate) film is composed of a composition composed of 100 pts.wt. of a polyester containing at least ≥90 mol% of a poly(ethylene-2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylate) polymerization unit and 0.1-15 pts.wt. of a phyllosilicate as an ash content. The orientation coefficient fp of crystals in a film plane is not below a specific range and an orientation factor fc related to the scattering peak at the maximum intensity in scattering derived from the phyllosilicate satisfies a specified range.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
