PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently detect monomolecular surface enhanced Raman scattering spectrum of a chemical species, to provide a method of forming a substrate of metal to be qualitatively detected and to provide an analyzing method on a monomolecular level.;SOLUTION: In a method of forming an array substrate of a metal nanotriangular prism structure, two glass substrates with different affinity to a nanoparticle are used when forming a two-dimensionally arranged nanoparticle monolayer film. One substrate with high affinity is horizontally placed and suspension of the nanoparticles is dropped on its surface and the other substrate with relatively low affinity is inclinedly placed on the surface with one end leaned against a spacer. A nano triangular prism has a sharp edge by control of conditions of vapor deposition and its upper surface has smoothness with surface roughness of a few nms or less. In a method of analyzing the monomolecular state, surface enhanced Raman dispersion spectrum in the array of metal nanotriangular prism structure and its blinking are measured by use of the array substrate.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
