METHOD FOR PRODUCING CONTRAST MEDIUM FOR ROENTGENOLOGIC EXAMINATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a highly safe contrast medium for roentgenologic examination by which stabilization of a liposome and retention stability of an iodine compound are carried out to raise retentivity in blood of a contrastradiographic compound, and efficient delivery and good targeting of the contrast medium are achieved.;SOLUTION: This method for producing the roentgenologic contrast medium is carried out as follows. A supercritical carbon dioxide containing a phospholipid and a lipid membrane stabilizer is mixed with an aqueous solution containing a nonionic iodine compound and a pharmaceutical aid to form a liposome suspension, which is then permeated through a filtration membrane having 0.1-0.4 μm pore diameter. The contrast medium for the roentgenologic examination produced by the method contains preferably sterols and/or cationic phospholipids and/or glycols in the lipid membrane of the liposome prepared by a supercritical carbon dioxide method and a water-soluble iodine compound is included in the aqueous phase.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
