PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a theft prevention system for construction machine capable of preventing a password from being easily known by a theft by dispensing with that an operator writes down the password so as not to forget it.;SOLUTION: Security information including a password preset to a construction machine 1 is transmitted from a personal computer 4 to a cellular phone 3. The cellular phone 3 stores the transmitted security information, and transmits it to the theft prevention device 2 according to the operator's operation. The theft prevention device 2 collates the password in the security information transmitted from the cellular phone 3 with a preliminarily stored password, and permits or prohibits the operation of the construction machine 1 based on the collation result.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
