PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mutual interference suppression method for suppressing generation frequency to the actually insignificant degree, even if mutual interference between a plurality of range sensors of the same kind is generated or mutual interference with an optical sensor of a different kind is generated.;SOLUTION: This 2D range sensor 11 of an AM modulation system loaded on robots moving in parallel with the floor is equipped with optical systems 2, 3 for scanning projection light at a prescribed tilt angle α nonparallel to the floor, and a rotation control circuit 8 for controlling variably the rotation speed N of rotating mirrors 2a, 3a. The rotation speed of the rotating mirror in the plurality of range sensors of the same kind and a scanning time are differentiated, and thereby even if one-time mutual interference is generated at the first scanning time, generation at the second and after scanning time is suppressed, and wrong operation caused by the mutual interference is actually prevented.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
