PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting structure for a handrail or the like capable of facilitating mounting work, dispensing with assembly of a scaffold, and mounting a support column of the handrail.;SOLUTION: This holding structure 10 is composed of a holding block 15 fixed to a structural skeleton 11, a pressing cover 18 nipping and holding the support column 22 of the handrail between the holding block and it, and bolts 13, 16 for fixing the pressing cover to the holding block or the structural skeleton 11. The holding block 15 has a receive part 34 nipping and holding the support column 22 and an engaging projection 38 protruding from a fringe part of the receive part. The pressing cover 18 has an engaging end part 47 engaging with the engaging projection 38 of the holding block so as to swing freely and a pressing part 46 nipping and holding the support column 22.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
