PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability in an extended controller of an image processor which executes a plurality of applications simultaneously by making it possible to easily perform start/switch operation of an application without the need for a user to aware whether the desired application is under starting or not. PSOLUTION: When a CPU in a controller section 170 of the extended controller 103 receives a start instruction of the application from an operation section 171, it decides whether the application has already been started, and if not started, it starts up the application. If the application has already been started, it displays the display window of the application on a forefront face of a display screen of the operation section 171, and makes the directed application active, and if the application is already displayed on the forefront face of the display screen of the operation unit 171, the display order of the window which the application has is replaced and controlled.
