ALTERNATIVE CERTIFICATE ISSUING/VERIFYING SYSTEM IN PKI AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminates the limit of utilization range of a certificate containing privacy information while ensuring anonymity, and to make the use of the certificate alterable.;SOLUTION: An alternative certificate issuing/verifying system (300) issues an alternative certificate where the information on a certificate issued to a user 1 (500) is deleted, added or altered to the user 1, and the user 1 attaches the alternative certificate thus issued to a user 2 (600) along with encryption data and signature data. Upon receiving the encryption data and signature data from the user 1, the user 2 can confirm existence of the original certificate issued by the user 1 as well as the validity of the alternative certificate issued by the user 1 by utilizing the verification function of the alternative certificate issuing/verifying system, and the users 1 and 2 can confirm the difference between the original certificate issued to the user 1 (500) and the alternative certificate issued to the user 1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
