PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output a natural handwritten document through a handwritten character input display device by replacing notation-unknown kanji, if any, in a handwritten character input with kanji in the user's handwriting. PSOLUTION: The handwritten character input display device comprises a character recognition part 13 for receiving designation of input characters and recognizing the designated characters, a handwritten character storage part (kanji-handwriting font dictionary 15) for storing handwritten characters, and a handwritten character candidate output part 16 for outputting a plurality of handwritten character candidates for the input characters with reference to the handwritten character storage part.
