PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for joining an aluminum-based metal tube and a ferrous metal tube, which method is excellent in strength and airtightness and is high in reliability. PSOLUTION: A stainless tube 1 and an aluminum-alloy tube 2, which are different metal tubes to each other, are joined via a joining metal part 3 formed by applying a hole flange machining to a two-layer metal clad plate. The materials of two different metal that compose the two-layer metal clad plate are the same as those of the different metal tubes 1, 2 respectively. The different metal tubes 1, 2 are separated to an outer peripheral face side 4a of the joining metal part 3 and to an inner peripheral face side 4b thereof respectively, and are inserted and fitted in such a way that the metals of similar material are brought into contact with each other. Further, only the portion, where these metals of similar material are in contact with each other, is welded, while preventing or suppressing the generation of intermetallic compounds by making the temperature of a clad interface 6 not exceed 500C or, by limiting the maintaining time when the temperature is more than 500C.
