PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lattice point determining method for preparing correspondence relation defining data, a lattice point determining apparatus for preparing correspondence relation defining data, a lattice point determining program for preparing correspondence relation defining data, a print control apparatus, a print control method, and a print control program for sufficiently smoothing an entire color gamut while moving and smoothing the arrangement of lattice points with a high degree of freedom. PSOLUTION: The method is characterized in that a smoothness degree evaluation function for evaluating a degree of smoothness of the arrangement of lattice points in a device independent color space is specified, wherein lattice point position information of a low dimensional color space specified by the number of color components less than the number of color ink cartridges used for a printer is a variable, the function taking a different function form from each color gamut part to which the lattice points of the evaluation object belong and including a binding condition wherein the evaluation value is greatly decreased more due to a shift to the lattice point nearer the border of the color gamut part, improving the evaluation of the smoothness degree evaluation function while changing the lattice point position information optimizes the arrangement of the lattice points in the device independent color space and the lattice points for preparing correspondence relation defining data are determined by making the color components in the low dimensional color space correspond to the ink amount of each color in the optimized state.
