PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lattice point determining system for preparing correspondence relation defining data, a lattice point requesting client for preparing correspondence relation defining data, a lattice point determining server for preparing correspondence relation defining data, and a method and program therefor for easily making a color conversion available profile with high accuracy usable at a user level. PSOLUTION: The system is characterized in that the client transmits first correspondence relation definition data wherein correspondence relation between low dimensional color lattice points and ink amount lattice points in a low dimensional color space is specified in advance to the server, the server references the first correspondence relation definition data to acquire the correspondence relation between the low dimensional color lattice points and the lattice points in a device independent color space, a smoothness degree evaluation function for evaluating a degree of smoothness of the arrangement of lattice points in the device independent color space is specified, wherein lattice point position information of a low dimensional color space is a variable, improving the evaluation of the smoothness degree evaluation function while changing the lattice point position information optimizes the arrangement of the lattice points in the device independent color space so as to determine the lattice points for preparing correspondence relation defining data.
