PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high-energy beam curable organopolysiloxane resin composition capable of being rapidly cured by irradiation of a high-energy beam and capable of giving a cured product having high light transmittance in a communication wavelength range, to obtain an organopolysiloxane resin used for the composition, to provide an optical transmission member formed of the cured product having the high light transmittance in the communication wavelength range, and to provide a method for simply, rapidly and efficiently producing the optical transmission member.;SOLUTION: The organopolysiloxane resin contains (meth)acryloxy groups and aromatic groups. The high-energy beam curable organopolysiloxane resin composition (which is, for example, cured by ultraviolet light) comprises the organopolysiloxane resin containing the (meth)acryloxy groups and the aromatic groups, a photopolymerization catalyst, and if necessary, an organic solvent. The optical transmission member is formed of the cured product which is given by irradiating the organopolysiloxane resin with the high-energy beam in the coexistence of the photopolymerization catalyst.
