PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten regulation time in a frequency regulation process of a piezoelectric oscillating device.;SOLUTION: A plurality of crystal oscillating pieces 3 are formed on crystal wafers. Then, first and second exciting electrodes 35, 36 are formed on the crystal oscillating pieces 3 (an electrode formation process). After that, the crystal wafers are arranged on a regulator of the oscillation frequency and the oscillation frequencies of the crystal oscillation pieces 3 are regulated. In addition, a value of a target frequency to regulate and accommodate the oscillation frequency is set by a frequency setting means of the regulator before the regulation of the oscillation frequencies of the crystal oscillating pieces 3. Next, a frequency range is classified into three frequency groups G1, G2, G3 by a classification means of the regulator within a preset allowable frequency range. Frequency regulation width is set, respectively by a regulation width setting means of the regulator for each of the three classified frequency groups. Then, each crystal wafer is classified into the frequency groups G1, G2, G3 based on central frequency of the crystal wafers measured after the electrode formation process.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
