ANTISEISMIC REINFORCING EXTENSION METHOD FOR EXISTING BUILDING, AND ANTISEISMIC REINFORCED EXTENSION BUILDING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out extension with free design such as providing a wide space and a large window at an existing building part while improving the earthquake resistance of the existing building and to carry out extension without forcing a burden of moving or the like on residents even when there is no allowance in a site.;SOLUTION: In this extension method, a new foundation for extension is provided outside an existing foundation of the existing building, and columns for extension are erected on the upper part of the new foundation. A roof is constructed on the upper part of the columns for extension to provide a new roof above the existing building. The columns for extension are then used to provide a new floor at the upper part of the existing building, and a new living space is provided between the new floor and the new roof above the existing building. In this case, the existing foundation and the new foundation are integrated, and a cushioning material is interposed between a structural member of the existing building and a structural member of the extended part, or the structural member of the existing building and the structural member of the extended part are rigidly joined.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
