PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically and repeatedly attach and detach a tool holder to and from a tool holding shaft.;SOLUTION: This tool holder 12 is held in a storage part 230 in a second relative phase of checking separation from the storage part 230. When installing the tool holder 12, after fitting a fitting hole 26 and a shaft part 28 by bringing the tool holding shaft 14 near to the storage part 230, the tool holding shaft 14 and the tool holder 12 are put in a nonseparable state and a relative rotation preventing state, by rotating the tool holding shaft 14. The tool holding shaft 14 holding the tool holder 12 is separated from the storage part 230. When removing the tool holder 12, the tool holder 12 held in the tool holding shaft 14 is stored in the storage part 230; the tool holder 12 is rotated to the second relative phase from a first relative phase; the tool holding shaft 14 is further retreated by a fixed quantity; after putting the tool holder 12 and the tool holding shaft 14 in a relatively rotatable state, the tool holding shaft 14 is rotated to the relative phase separable from the tool holder 12; and the tool holding shaft 14 is separated while still leaving the tool holder 12 in the storage part 230 in the second relative phase.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
