PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nucleic acid-adsorbing porous membrane which has an excellent separating ability, which provides a good washing efficiency, which permits convenient and expeditious procedures, which is adapted for automation and reduction in size, which can be mass produced with substantially identical separating capability, and which is adapted for a method of separating and purifying nucleic acids and to provide apparatus using the same.;SOLUTION: A nucleic acid-adsorbing solid phase for separating and purifying a nucleic acid comprises use of the nucleic acid-adsorbing porous membrane for use in the method for separation and purification of the nucleic acid, the method comprising the steps, of (1) adsorbing the nucleic acid to the solid phase by allowing a sample solution containing the nucleic acid to come into contact with the nucleic acid-adsorbing solid phase, (2) washing the solid phase by allowing a washing solution to come into contact with the solid phase while the nucleic acid is adsorbed to the solid phase, and (3) desorbing the nucleic acid from the solid phase by allowing a recovering solution to come into contact with the solid phase.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
