TRANSLOCATION PROMOTER OF SUGAR IN PLANT BODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a translocation promoter of sugar in a plant body by which sucrose transported into storage tissues can be increased by improving a plant sucrosephosphoric acid synthetase activity without using techniques introducing a sucrosephosphoric acid synthetase or integrating an artificial gene built so as to express a sucrosephosphoric acid synthetase in large amount into a nuclear genome and transforming the gene.;SOLUTION: The translocation promoter of sugar in a plant body comprises methionine and/or tryptophan as an essential component. In the translocation promoter, sucrosephosphoric acid synthetase activity is improved by the methionine and/or the tryptophan to promote translocation of sugar in the plant body.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
