PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor which enables an operator of the apparatus to easily recognize from which user a failure inquiry has come and to provide a failure inquiry method and a program thereof. PSOLUTION: The image processor is provided with: a user information storage means for storing user information; a service center information storage means for storing information of a service center; an image read means for reading an article wherein a failure takes place or an article representing a failure occurrence state and enters the read result as image information; an information generating means for generating failure inquiry information including the image information and the user information; an information output means capable of outputting the failure inquiry information through an electric communication line; and an information output control means for causing the information output means to output the failure inquiry information to the service center by utilizing the information of the service center.
