WALKING AUXILIARY INSTRUMENT FOR MALE ELDERLY PERSON

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein although there is a handcart in which a baggage is put into a seat for an elderly woman and there is no instrument which the male elderly person uses without resistance.;SOLUTION: The walking auxiliary instrument for the male elderly person is constituted such that a handle (7) is mounted to an upper part of the instrument (1), a sliding slide rod (6) is put into the inside of the instrument (1), a fulcrum (4) is provided on the instrument (1), upper parts of a front leg (2) and a rear leg (3) are pivotally supported on the fulcrum (4), wheels (9), (10) are mounted to lower parts of the front leg (2) and the rear leg (3), a leg opening rod (5) is pivotally supported on the lower part of the slide rod (6) and the middle part of the front leg (2) and the rear leg (3), the wheels (9), (10) are opened by vertically sliding the slide rod (6) and the handle (7) is grasp-walked and it is used as a cane by contracting the slide rod (6). The walking auxiliary instrument is used such that the person walks while grasping/pushing the handle 7, the person sits on a chair 8, moves it by foot and walks as a bicycle at an initial stage, a motor 13 is driven by a battery 11, the wheel 10 is rotated and the person advances while sitting on the chair 8. In this case, since the motor is a motor for assisting walking, it is sufficient that the battery and the motor have small output. Further, as the other use method, when the slide rod 6 is pulled up by a chain 16 of a pulling-up ring 17 and the respective wheels are collected, it becomes a cane-like shape.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
