SEAM FELT EQUIPPED WITH AUXILIARY TOOL FOR JOINING AND METHOD FOR ATTACHING SEAM FELT TO PAPERMAKING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seam felt equipped with auxiliary tool for joining capable of simply and surely carrying out seaming operation in accordance with conditions of joining operation site and diversity of a felt structure when preparing endless seam felt of a papermaking machine from felt of open end.;SOLUTION: The seam felt equipped with an auxiliary tool for joining is obtained by attaching a joining auxiliary tool having a fixing member for temporarily fixing to the end to the rear surface of both end edges of the seam felt. In the seam felt, a seaming part between the seam felt and a joining auxiliary tool and folding seaming parts in the neighborhood of the end of the joining auxiliary tool are installed in total two or more places and these parts are hung in a press roll of a papermaking machine and fixing members of both ends of the joining auxiliary tool are bound to each other to temporarily fix these members and the seaming part of the seam felt and the joining auxiliary tool near the end with the joining auxiliary tool or the folding sewing part of the joining auxiliary tool is unbound and both ends of seam felt are brought into contact with each other and a seam loop is engaged with a seam loop to form an endless belt and then, the joining auxiliary tool is detached and attached to the papermaking machine of the seam felt.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
