PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection interchangeability judging apparatus and judging method capable of surely judging connection interchangeability among a plurality of apparatuses connected with each other even when version information of software for a printer driver is frequently updated.;SOLUTION: The apparatus comprises an acquiring means for acquiring the version information for an interface from an external apparatus having individually the version information for the apparatus and the version information for the interface for communicating with the external apparatus, a storing means for storing adaptability judging information for judging adaptability of the version information for the interface, and the judging means for judging the connection interchangeability among apparatuses connected with each other based on the version information for the interface acquired by the acquiring means and the adaptability judging information for the interface stored in the storing means.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
