PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a factor promoting neovascularization, especially a factor promoting the wandering of endothelial cell. PSOLUTION: The factor is a compound having the following properties(a) to (f), being useful as a neovascularization promoter or as a target molecule against a neovascularization inhibitor: (a) Being obtained by culturing HeLa cell in an EBM(-) medium at 37C for 1-2 day, and found in the resultant culture supernatant. (b) Significantly promoting the wandering of normal human umbilical cord venous endothelial cell in chemotaxel assay. (c) Substantially promoting no proliferation of normal human umbilical cord venous endothelial cell. (d) Having a molecular weight of 10,000 or less. (e) Causing no substantial own deactivation by incubation at 60C for 20 min. (f) Causing no substantial own deactivation when incubated at 37C for 2 h in the presence of trypsin.
