PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membrane evaluating method and a quality evaluating/process monitoring system of a chemical membrane for objectively, quantitatively and inexpensively evaluating the quality of the crystalline chemical membrane such as a zinc phosphate membrane by using an actual product without the use of a processed specimen. PSOLUTION: The quality evaluating/process monitoring method of the chemical membrane evaluates the quality of the membrane from an appearance of a crystal of the chemical membrane, and monitors processing stages. The quality evaluating/process monitoring system of the chemical membrane is provided with a crystal grain extracting means for extracting a crystal grain included in image data and an evaluation characteristic information acquiring means for acquiring evaluation characteristic information as a criterion of quality evaluation and process monitoring of the chemical membrane from the crystal grain extracted by the crystal grain extracting means.
