PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material quality detection device capable of discriminating material quality highly accurately with a simple constitution.;SOLUTION: This device has one ultrasonic transducer 14 used both as a transmitter and a receiver, a rectangular wave oscillator 11 for generating a rectangular wave signal, and an analysis part 10 for transmitting an ultrasonic wave which is a transmission signal to a specimen 19 by driving the ultrasonic transducer by supplying an output from the rectangular wave oscillator 11 to the ultrasonic transducer, acquiring a comparison result between a frequency-sound pressure characteristic of the transmission signal and a frequency-sound pressure characteristic of a reception signal received by the ultrasonic transducer, referring to a comparison result of frequency-sound pressure characteristics of a transmission signal and a reception signal of an ultrasonic wave corresponding to a material stored beforehand, and identifying that a material quality corresponding to the comparison result of the frequency-sound pressure characteristics of the transmission signal and the reception signal of the ultrasonic wave stored beforehand, which is coincident with the acquired comparison result of the frequency-sound pressure characteristics of the transmission signal and the reception signal, is the material quality of the specimen.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
