PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the speed of reviewing operation for stored documents.;SOLUTION: In this document storage system 1, a web server 5 and a database server 6 are installed in a control center 2 and an input/output controller 9 and an optical reader 12 for an automated warehouse 10 are installed in a document storage center 3. When accepting a request for review from the outside, the web server 5 retrieves the database server 6. When the web server detects the data to be reviewed, it sends the detected data to an address requesting the review. When the web server cannot detect the data, it outputs the document to be reviewed from the automated warehouse 10, prepares the data by the optical reader 12, and sends the prepared data to the address requesting the review.
