PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To place/receive an order for a standard item and a custom-made item by the same system and to perform stock management of a dedicated warehouse arranged on the system side.;SOLUTION: A customer transmits a purchase request for a commodity (the standard item or the custom-made item) from a customer side terminal device 1 to this commodity order receiving/placing stock management device 2 via a communication network including the Internet 1. On receipt of the purchase request, the commodity order receiving/placing stock management device 2 calculates a proper stock amount, performs stock management including selection of commodities to be discarded, and verifies presence/absence of stock of the commodity. When the commodity is stocked, inventory reservation is carried out and a shipment instruction document is formed to be transmitted to a dedicated warehouse terminal device 1 for updating the inventory.
