VIBRATION ISOLATION/SEISMIC CONTROL STRUCTURE UNDER VIADUCT STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration isolation/seismic control structure of an under-viaduct structure, which enables an under-viaduct space to be inexpensively and effective utilized by solving problems on vibrations etc.;SOLUTION: An upper structure 3, which is installed in the under-viaduct space 2, is borne on a foundation 11 by using a rubber bearing 12 for reducing external vibrations, and a sliding bearing for compensating a decrease in load bearing capacity, caused by the deformation of the rubber bearing. A connection with the upper structure 3, forming the under-viaduct space 2, via a damping material 30 is established.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
