PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the composition of a matter for a rare earth hybrid bond magnet and the rare earth hybrid bond magnet where the demagnetization and rust of the magnet hardly occurs even in a humid environment by improving weatherability by the reduction of a chlorine content. PSOLUTION: In the composition of the matter for the rare earth hybrid bond magnet containing rare earth-based magnetic powder (A), ferrite magnetic powder (B), and a resin binder (C) as a main component, the residual soluble chlorine amount of the ferrite magnetic powder (B) is 30 to 300 ppm, and the residual chlorine amount of the whole composition is 150 ppm.
