PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat occupied state notifying system for predicting and notifying the time until each seat, in a predetermined area having a plurality of seats arranged therein, becomes vacant to a person who wants to use each seat without making him/her go to the area. PSOLUTION: This system comprises a seat state detection part 12 detecting whether each seat S is in an occupied state or not, an vacant seat time prediction part 19 predicting the time when the seat S changes to a vacant state based on a start time of the occupied state of the seat S detected to be occupied by the seat state detection part 12 and a presribed reference time, a vacant seat arrival time specification part 20 specifying the time from the present time to the time predicted by the prediction part 19, and a display device 4 and a display part 6 displaying information for the time specified by the specification part 20.
