PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a higher harmonic monitoring system for grasping easily a higher harmonic generation condition, and for contributing to a countermeasure for a higher harmonic environmental problem, by detecting a current or a voltage generated by a customer in a commercial line. PSOLUTION: This system/method is provided with a direct current power source 11 such as a solar cell. The system/method is provided with an inverter circuit 13 for power-converting direct current power from the direct current source 11 into a commercial frequency of alternating current power. The system/method is provided with a higher harmonic analyzing part 16 for extracting alternating current power from the inverter circuit 13, or a higher harmonic component from the voltage or current of an electric power line 26.
