PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relatively precisely detect a multipath, in a hybrid type positioning system including, for example, a radio wave positioning system and an autonomous positioning system.;SOLUTION: This multipath detector 500 is a multipath detector for detecting the multipath generated when receiving a positioning radio wave, in a hybrid type positioning system provided with a radio wave positioning means 511 for positioning a radio wave positioning data indicating a prescribed kind of parameter as to the present position of an object, based on the positioning radio wave transmitted from a radio wave positioning satellite, and provided with an autonomous positioning means 512 for positioning an autonomous positioning data indicating a prescribed kind of parameter, based on an output from an autonomous positioning sensor. The multipath detector 500 is provided with a difference calculation means 501 for calculating a difference between the radio wave positioning data and the autonomous positioning data, and a multipath determination means 502 for determining the presence of a multipath condition when the difference has a value of a prescribed threshold value or more, and for determining the presence of a non-multipath condition when the difference has a value smaller than the prescribed threshold value.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
