PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum soil kneading machine capable of obtaining a good column-like body with a little remaining air and a high homogeneity, and a method for manufacturing the column-like body.;SOLUTION: The vacuum soil kneading machine is equipped with a primary drum 1 for kneading a body comprising a ceramic raw material, a finely dividing board 7 arranged at the outlet of the primary drum 1 and provided with a plurality of flow passages for dividing the body, and a secondary drum 2 into which the body is made to flow through a plurality of the flow passages of the finely dividing board 7, and in which the body is vacuum-deaerated while the body is furthermore kneaded, and the column-like product 6 is extruded from the secondary drum 2. The cross-sectional profiles of a plurality of the flow passages in the finely dividing board 7 are holes with ϕ of ≤10 mm or slit-like shapes with a width of ≤10 mm.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
